Upon entering the library, to the right you will find the Public Lending Room, and to your left the Light Reading Corner. The Children’s Section can be found to the rear of the Light Reading Corner. To the right of the main entrance is a locker room, where articles of hand luggage must be stored before entering the library. A hundred yen coins is required to facilitate use of the lockers,which is returned at the completion of use.
Wheelchairs, toilets for disabled patrons and special lifts are at the disposal of physically challenged visitors to the library. |

We aim to assist all patrons in the dissemination of details concerning
the whereabouts and availability of materials, and information concerning
related and support publications. Please feel free to direct inquiries
to the library by post, telephone,e-mail or in person.

In the event that the book you would like to borrow is unavailable, a reservation
can be made.Please hand in a compleated reservation form at the counter.
We ask patrons to be understanding regarding requests for the purchase
and unavailability of certain titles.

Duplication is limited to materials produced by the library, and materials
whose duplication are permitted by the laws of copyright.

The first time a book is borrowed, a lending card will be issued. The lender
should apply at the any counter.
Proof of identify and address is required for registration.
Loans ate limited to a maximum of ten books per loan.
The maximum allotted period of a loan is fifteen days.

Please bring books back to the any counter. In the event the library is
closed, please use the book return box, located at the main entrance.
Patrons living outside Fukushima City may return books to their local
public libraries.

Resource materials related to Fukushima Prefecture (Video, Cassette tape,
Vinyl records, CD’s and microfilm) are stored here. Please inquire at
the Local Resource Counter as to availability.

Patrons with reading difficulties due to poor eyesight are welcome to take
advantage of the libraries facilities. A text enlargement machine,
and large print books are available.

| A wide variety of exhibitions are held throughout the
year. |

The research room can be used for research and meetings concerning ways
to promote library activities and popularize the reading of the books.

|
Citizens situated in an area not practically served by a permanent library
are welcome to use the services provided by the Azuma -go mobile
library.

| Group loans (loans of over five books) are also
available. |
